Numbers 26:52-28:15
1.(2014)Zelophehad’s Daughters - this is the account of the women whose father "died for his own sin and left no sons". I thought it interesting that the Lord's response affirmed their right to an inheritance as well as the principle "to give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it."
2. (2014) After Moses is told he won't be entering the Promised Land he prays:
15 Moses said to the Lord, 16 “May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community 17 to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
Doesn't this point to Jesus' concern for Israel that "they were like sheep without a shepherd"?
