Judges 4:1-5:31
(1) (2011)Mother of Israel, most blessed of tent-dwelling women - Deborah & Jael:

Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading[a] Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided.

(2)(2011) Stars in the heavens:

From the heavens the stars fought,
from their courses they fought against Sisera.

(3)(2012) the Princes take the lead - Very interesting that Deborah sings about (1) the men who volunteered or led (2x), (2) the searching of hearts among the men, & (3) those who stayed by campfires or ships or across the Jordan or by the coast. Verses 13-23 names those who did & did NOT come to help the Lord.

(1)(2012) More meaningful this year:

12 Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD,
the man you teach from your law;
13 you grant him relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the LORD will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
